PHS wins JV volleyball tourney

The Plymouth Panthers won the Sheboygan North junior varsity girls volleyball tournament Oct. 10.

PHS won its pool and then defeated Manitowoc in the semifinals, followed by a win over Oostburg in the championship match.

“We played great team volleyball. Our communication was outstanding and our fundamentals solid,” said Panther coach Angie Wachter.

The Panthers finished second in their invitational earlier in the season. PHS won its pool and lost to Waupun in the finals.

“We had a good season,” Wachter said. “They are a great and talented group of girls who leave their hearts on the court every game. I am looking forward to what this group will do in the future years at PHS.”
