4-H-Brave Bears -- November

The Nov. 5 Brave Bears 4-H Club meeting was called to order by President David Derus at 6:34 p.m. The American pledge was led by Ari Schuren, and the 4-H pledge was led by Michael Bimmel.

Secretary’s report was given by Dakota Ortiz and treasurer’s report, by Emma Schuren. Correspondences were read by David Derus. Sunny Ridge nursing home was asking for our help. Roll call was taken by Secretary Dakota Ortiz; we had to stand up and gobble like a turkey.

President announcements: President Derus reminded us that… - we have to pick up the November Crier; - project enrollment forms, Pizza/Pie Fundraiser forms, and club dues ($8) are all due tonight; and - the Clover Award banquet is Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. at The American Club.

Old business:

• Nick Bimmel told us the October window display only lasted one day at the Sheboygan Falls library, because it broke down.

• Michael said the fall fundraiser was at Blattner’s Piggly Wiggly from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. We raised $80 on the bake sale and $150 on the brat fry.

• Dakota Ortiz told us the Enchanted Forest was cancelled due to bad weather. • Josh Konrad said 23 people attended our club Halloween party.

New business:

• Katherine Luther reminded us that the pick-up date for the Pizza/Pie Fundraiser will be Dec. 5 at Main Street Memories.

• Katherine Luther also told us the Aldis shopping trip would be Monday, Nov. 16, at 6:30 p.m. • Caleb Rodencal said the Plymouth Christmas parade will be Friday, Nov. 27. • Nick Broder said bell ringing will be Nov. 28 at Evans. • Steven Derus said the Main Street Memories parade and fundraiser will be Dec. 5 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. • Laura Basch told us the nursing home did not want us to go Christmas caroling because of the flu. • Mrs. Bimmel said the club Christmas party will be Dec. 12 from 5-7 p.m. • Dakota Ortiz said the Music and Drama Fest will be Feb. 20, 2010.

Speeches and demos: Laura Basch gave her speech and demo on IQ academy. The Brave Bears meeting was adjourned by President David Derus at 7:25 p.m.
