CAROLE LEE O’NEIL
Carole Lee O’Neil, age 79, formerly of Muskego, Wis., passed away early Monday morning, Nov. 16, 2009, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, where she had been a patient for the past week and has resided at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility, Plymouth, for the past four years.
She was born Dec. 5, 1929 in Muskego, Wis., a daughter of the late Albert and Evelyn Schmidt Sommers. Carole attended Muskego Elementary School and graduated from West Milwaukee High School.
On Aug. 23, 1951, she married Raymond O’Neil at Holy Apostles Catholic Church in New Berlin, Wis. They built their own home in New Berlin, where they raised their family.
She was a member of Holy Apostles Catholic Church in New Berlin and later on a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.
Carole owned her own business, “O’Neil’s Pub,” in Cascade and did waitress work most of her married life. She was the first meter maid employed by the Plymouth Police Department, besides working at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility for eight years doing CNA work. She also loved to buy and sell Avon products and loved to watch the Green Bay Packer games. She volunteered for the American Cancer Society and also worked for general elections.
She is survived by her daughter: Colleen (Gary) Seider and their two children, Morgan (Justin) Hellmer and Jesse Seider, all of Plymouth; daughter: Peggy (Steven) Teshner and their two children, Margaret and Stephen, all of Milwaukee; son: Michael O’Neil and his two daughters, Kelly (her son, Layton) and Katie, all of Plymouth; daughter: Erin O’Neil and her two children, Ryan and Jordan Thompson, all of Milwaukee; one sister, Patti Sommers of Loyal, Wis.; and also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara and an infant sister, Nancy.
Private family memorial services will be held at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth on Thursday, Nov. 19. Father Wayne Bittner will officiate. Cremation has taken place.
