Winter parking, snow rule reminders
City of Plymouth winter parking rules will go into effect Tuesday, Dec. 1, Director of Public Works William Immich has announced.
Under the city’s winter parking rules, which will be in effect through March 15, parking of any vehicle on any street, public parking lot, alley or designated area in the city of Plymouth is prohibited between the hours of 2 and 6 a.m.
Also, Immich is reminding city residents of other city winter ordinances.
These include a requirement that property owners remove snow from their sidewalks within 24 hours of the end of a snowfall event. Snow cannot be pushed, shoveled, plowed, blown or in any way deposited onto any public street, or in any way that narrows the travel portions of any streets or alleys, limits the vision of motorists at intersections, prevents parking at the curb, or covers or interferes with the use of fire hydrants.
