4-H-Brave Bears – December

The Dec. 3 Brave Bears 4-H meeting was called to order by President David Derus at 6:34 p.m. The American pledge was led by Emma Schuren, and the 4-H pledge was led by Nick Bimmel. The secretary’s report was given by Dakota Ortiz and the treasurer’s report, by Emma Schuren. There were no correspondences this month. Roll call was taken by Secretary Dakota Ortiz. The question was, “What do you want for Christmas?” Also, we need to collect soda tabs for Project Angel Hugs.

Old business: • Steven Derus told us that we sold 40 items for the Christmas in July fundraiser.

• Katherine Luther said we shopped at Aldi’s for two food pantries Nov. 16.

• Nick Broder said that seven families participated in bell ringing for the Salvation Army at Evans from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

• Mrs. Rodencal said that six members and three adults walked in the Plymouth Christmas parade. • Ari Schuren told us that we gave Christmas gifts to the nursing homes Nov. 24.

New business: • Katherine Luther reminded us to pick up pizzas Saturday from 10:30-11:30 a.m. • Steven Derus said the Main Street Memories fundraiser/parade is Saturday, Dec. 5.

• Braden Ortiz said the Main Street Memories parade line-up is in the Bemis parking lot at 3:30 p.m.

• Laura Basch reminded us that we will be Christmas caroling at Prairie Crossing from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12.

• Tiffany Konrad and Braden Ortiz told us that our club Christmas party will be at the Sheboygan Falls Town Hall from 6-7:30 p.m. Dec. 12.

• Dakota Ortiz told us that the Music And Drama Fest will be Feb. 20, 2010.

Speeches and demos: • Dakota Ortiz gave her speech about her porcelain doll collection. • Caleb Rodencal gave his speech on his dog Lucy. The December meeting was adjourned by President Derus at 7:26 p.m.
