Community Education winter class listing coming Dec. 15
Plymouth Community Education & Recreation is finalizing details for dozens of classes to be offered this winter and spring.
The classes include traditional offerings such as swimming lessons and fitness classes, as well as many new courses.
New fitness classes this session include “Body Basics,” a low-impact aerobics class; “Boot Camp,” a high-intensity class to sculpt, tone and increase fitness levels; “Tighten & Tone,” a trial class to tone upper body, legs, buns and abs; and “Yoga Basics,” for those who want to try yoga or tune-up their practice.
New general education classes include “Positive Thinking To Enhance Daily Living,” which will teach individuals how to identify negative thinking and turn off that inner critic; and “Basic Beading,” where simple beading techniques will be demonstrated and class members each will complete a beaded necklace.
A Community Report, which includes complete class listings, will be included in the Dec. 15 Plymouth Review Xtra section. The report also will include stories about free technology classes to be taught by students, a new health-related lecture series and middle-school extracurricular opportunities.
Additional copies of the Community Report will be available around town and in the community education office in the high school. Class listings also will be posted by Dec. 15 on the community education web site at www.plymouthcommed.org.
