Climategate

To the Editor:

Climategate – why aren't we hearing about it?

Thanks to James Delingpole of Britain’s Daily Telegraph who exposed the hacked e-mails, we now have proof that the warmists are liars: “The fact is we can't account for the lack of warming at the moment.”

CO2, H2O, O2, and sun are the building blocks of life.

The ones who stand to make money off the CO2 scam figured they couldn't tax the sun or water, so they went after CO2. Who are they?

How about Goldman Sachs, recipient of $12.9 “bailout” billion, major shareholder of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCE), another phoney “derivatives” scheme? How about Al Gore, who manages to buy carbon credits from himself on the CCE?

Most warming and cooling of the earth follows cycles, and the major impact on warming is the sun, not CO2.

Wisconsin will be one of those states hit hardest by the green doctrine, as our manufacturing base depends on fossil fuels. But coal plants nowadays are much cleaner than they used to be; besides, there's always the possibility of nuclear, which despite its bad image, is one of the safest, cleanest sources of electricity. However, nobody in power wants to use these economic options so Wisconsin will suffer.

President Barack Obama is now talking about bypassing Congress and simply forcing the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to write rules requiring “cap and trade”!

Look at France, where they get almost all of their power from nuclear, and have no problem with waste storage as they use their rods over and over again. The U.S. couldn't do this, thanks to archaic regulations preventing re-use.

Then look at Denmark, where they have the place covered with expensive windmills, and still cannot supply all their electricity. (Not to mention the health issues associated with windmills; just ask the people in Calumet County.)

According to Arthur Robinson, Ph.D., the Nellis solar array cost $106 million, and only produces 30.1 gigawatt hours per year, compared to Palo Verde nuclear, costing about $26.7 billion in 2009 dollars, and producing 297 times the electricity.

Call your senators and insist they not ratify any “climate treaty” from Copenhagen, nor agree to “cap and trade.” Our national sovereignty and economic life depends on it.
E. Matthews,
