Resorters fifth in Kiel Invite

KIEL – The Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Resorters placed fifth in Saturday’s Kiel Invitational dual wrestling tournament.

Elkhart posted a 1-4 record with its only win, 54-21, over Princeton. The Resorters scored all of their points in the dual on nine forfeits.

The Resorters lost to Germantown (69-12), Denmark (69-12), Kiel (57-21) and West Bend West (58- 24). Denmark won the tourney with a 5-0 mark and Germantown was second at 4-1. Kiel finished fourth with a 2-3 record.

Sophomore 171-pounder Kyle Rentmeester led the Resorters with a 3-2 record, including a pin. Also recording a pin each for the team were Adam Ruechel at 189, Luke Klotzbach, 135 and Shane Schanke at 145.
