School Board election deadline nearing
Three seats on the Plymouth School Board are up for election in the spring: Area A, a resident of the city of Plymouth, currently held by Jeff Tauscheck. Area B, a resident outside the city of Plymouth, currently held by Sally Isely.
Area C, an at-large resident from anywhere in district, currently held by Tim St. Clair.
Tauscheck has indicated he will not be a candidate for re-election. Incumbents have until 5 p.m. Dec. 18 to file a declaration of non-candidacy.
Forms must be filed in the district office by 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5. No signatures are required.
The general election will be April 6. If more than two candidates run for any of the seats, a primary election will be held Feb. 16.
Under state law, candidates for school board must be U.S. citizens, 18 years of age or older, who have resided in the election district for at least 10 days before an election.
The required forms can be downloaded from the state Elections Division at www.elections.state.wi.us. Contact the Plymouth School District office at 892-2661 for more information.
