KENNETH E. HARDER
Kenneth E. Harder, age 86, formerly of 115 Reed St., Plymouth, Wis., passed away from complications of a stroke early Thursday afternoon, Dec. 24, 2009, at Plymouth Care Center where he had been a resident for the past three weeks.
He was born on Feb. 2, 1923, in Glenbeulah, Wis., a son of the late Otto F. and Catherine M. Liebe Harder. Ken attended the Greenbush Grade School in the town of Greenbush. On Nov. 22, 1941, he married Jean Aderman in Plymouth.
The couple has resided in Sheboygan, town of Plymouth and, since 1989, in Plymouth.
Ken farmed on the family homestead in the town of Plymouth for over 40 years and also worked at the Gessert-Hoffman Dodge and Plymouth Agency for six years and then was employed at Plymouth Implement for 15 years, retiring in 1985.
He is a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth.
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Jean of Plymouth; one son, Lee (June) Harder of Glenbeulah; one daughter, Donna Laudolff of North Fond du Lac, Wis.; four grandchildren, Timothy (Melissa) Luedtke of Mount Calvary, Wis., Terrance (Carrie) Luedtke of Sheboygan Falls, Jeffrey Harder (special friend Carmen Maier) of Madison, Wis., Jennifer (Michael) Meisenbeck of Sheboygan; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marcella (Merlin) Haag of Plymouth and Marian Wieck of Greenbush; one brother-in-law, Robert (Doris) Aderman of Marion, Wis., and one sister-in-law, Alberta Harder of Glenbeulah.
Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Merle Harder; two sons-in-law, Gerald Luedtke and Gregor Laudolff; two brothers-inlaw, Harry Aderman Jr. and Arden Wieck.
Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon, Dec. 27, at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Very Rev. Dennis Van Beek, pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth officiated. Burial took place in the Greenbush Cemetery.
