Lake County Academy is accepting enrollment for the 2010-11 year

Lake Country Academy (LCA) is accepting enrollment applications from Jan. 4-Feb. 19 for the 2010-11 school year.

The enrollment application forms can be picked up and completed in the Lake Country Academy administrative office, located at 4101 Technology Parkway in Sheboygan (North of Texas Roadhouse and Hardees off Dairyland Drive). Entrance is in the back of the school.

LCA is accepting applications for all grade levels, including 4th-8th grade. The school will be conducting open houses for prospective LCA families at noon every Thursday in January and again at noon on Feb. 11 and 18. In addition to the LCA enrollment application form, all applicants who are applying from outside of the Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) will be required to complete a state open-enrollment form. That form can be picked up at the SASD Central Office, located at 830 Virginia Ave. in Sheboygan. State statute requires that open enrollment forms must be turned in, between Feb. 1 and Feb. 19.

If parents believe their child is not challenged enough or needs a more rigorous curriculum, LCA may be the right environment for them.

Lake Country Academy is the only charter school in 2009 that received the gold award for high performance charter school of the year. This award recognizes schools that demonstrate outstanding student performance with the highest test results compared to other public charter schools in the state.
