neighbors Plymouth marching band performs at Disney World

The Plymouth High School marching band recently traveled to Walt Disney World in Florida.

Band members marched in a Magic Kingdom parade and participated in a group breakfast activity. Video from the parade can be viewed on the district’s web site, www.plymouth.k12.wi.us.

“Students experienced all of the Disney parks and entertainments,” said band director Jason Sebranek, adding that Disney is the world’s largest employer of live entertainment.

To prepare, students practiced their marching drill and memorized the music, Sebranek said. Twenty chaperones and 151 students made the trip.

This is the band’s sixth time performing at Disney World. The band had to audition by DVD, and send a photo and a letter of application.
