LOUIS FRANK “PUTSY” MOTTEL JR.
Louis Frank “Putsy” Mottel Jr., age 79, formerly of Menasha, Wis., took his last breath wrapped in the loving warmth of his two daughters on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls.
He was born April 29, 1930 in Neenah, Wis., the son of the late Louis and Mabel (Nyman) Mottel. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic Grade School and High School in Menasha graduating in 1948.
Louis served in the United States Army from 1951-53 during the Korean War.
On Nov. 24, 1951, he married Constance Richards at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Menasha. The couple resided in Menasha after his return from Korea.
He was employed at the Banta Corp. in Menasha as a lithographer for 25 years.
Dad’s passion for making others laugh will never be forgotten. He was happiest when surrounded by a circle of his friends, telling his favorite jokes. He treasured his time with his buddies – meeting for an early morning breakfast, playing a round of golf or shooting a game of pool. But most of all, he cherished the time he spent with his two daughters and their families. They were the love of his life.
The tender care and support of the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice family in Sheboygan Falls, Wis., helped make his final journey a memorable one – filled with peace, compassion and dignity.
Dad, we’ll remember you … not for just an hour, not for just a day, not for just a year, but ALWAYS.
Survivors include his two loving daughters, Lori (Craig) Enzenroth of Madison, Wis., and Dana (Ron) Jagla of Adell, Wis.; four grandchildren: Chad Enzenroth of the U.S. Air Force in California, Jaclyn Enzenroth of Madison, Wis., and Jenny and Emily Jagla of Adell, Wis. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and John Gundlach.
A celebration of Louis’ life will take place in February at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth when his grandson, Chad, is home from deployment from the United Arab Emirates. Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in his name for the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice. The Suchon Funeral Home and Cremation Services is serving the family. For online condolences, please visit www.suchonfh.com.
