Amanda Lynn Wieser and Chad Eric Smith exchanged marriage vows Saturday, July 11, 2009, at Plymouth Alliance Church, Plymouth. The Rev. David Manske of Waconia, Minn., performed the 1:30 p.m. double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Tom and Terri Wieser of Plymouth. Amanda was presented in marriage by her father, to the son of Randy and Kathy Smith of Moneta, Va., and Tracy and Donnie Brown of Vinton, Va.
Music for the nuptials was provided by Pastor Bill Krauss, guitar/vocals; Lyssie and Katie Christensen, flute/violin; and Heather Lenox, soloist.
Serving the bride as maid of honor was Stephanie Wieser, sister of the bride, of Plymouth. Attendants were Andrea Berens, friend of bride, of Minneapolis, Minn.; Jessica Roll, cousin of bride, of Davenport, Iowa; Chelsie Smith, sister of groom, of Moneta; and Laura VanMeeteren, friend of bride, of Dallas, Texas. Pamela Hau, cousin of bride, served as the bride’s personal attendant.
Randy Smith, father of the groom, served as best man. Attendants were Kerry Hogan and Bev Chaffin, both of Bedford, Va.; Jeff Green of Ocean Springs, Miss.; and Rich Hart of Moneta, all friends of groom. Ring bearer was Sebastian Young, cousin of groom.
Ushering duties were shared by Nicholas and Julian Young, cousin of groom.
A dinner and reception for 200 guests was held at the home of the bride’s parents. Greeters for the reception were Sarah Hau and Louis Wieser, both cousins of bride. Catering was provided by Three Guys & a Grill. Music at the reception was provided by the bride’s great-great-uncle, Harry Boll.
The bride is a graduate of Plymouth High School; and graduate of Crown College, St. Bonifacius, Minn., with a bachelor’s degree in intercultural studies. She is currently substitute teaching in Bedford County, Virginia.
Her husband is a graduate of William Byrd High School, Virginia, and is currently a self-employed contractor.
A honeymoon trip was taken on a Caribbean cruise. The couple are currently residing in Bedford, Va.
