Thank you, Sheboygan County

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Sheboygan County Health and Human Services Department, which is made up of the Division of Social Services, Public Health, Economic Support, Community Programs and Elder Services, we would like to “thank you” for your abundant donations during his holiday season. The generosity and kindness of the greater Sheboygan County community in assisting those who find themselves in need for a variety of reasons is truly amazing. Sheboygan County residents went above and beyond in providing that special, unique holiday gift. Due to your generosity, the staff at the department was able to assist many children, families, and elderly in having a wonderful and meaningful holiday.

The donations received by the department were food baskets, toys, games, books, hats and mittens, gift cards, Christmas parties for children, clothing, personal hygiene items, food, household items, bikes, kitchen products, dishes, towels, bedding, furniture, and so much more. Those providing the donations were individuals, families, companies, organizations, schools, churches, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, banks, credit unions, service organizations, local unions, senior centers, nursing homes, clubs, and other programs.

We, as staff, were honored and privileged to be able to distribute the gifts on your behalf. The individuals who received your gifts were thrilled, delighted, excited, at times overwhelmed, and happy, to say the least. We hope that each and every one of you felt a sense of pride, pleasure, and satisfaction in being able to assist and help someone else. Thank you for your kindness, thoughtfulness, and generosity.
