Bean bag tourney at Anchor Lanes

Anchor Lanes in Elkhart Lake is hosting its first Bean Bag Tournament Saturday, Jan. 16, at noon.

Contestants take turns pitching their bean bags at the platform until a contestant reaches a score of 21 points. A bean bag in the hole scores three points, while one on the platform scores one point. Competitors keep the game going by canceling out points as their bean bags land in the same area or by knocking an opponent’s bean bag off the platform. Scoring can be swift and the lead may change hands several times in a match before the winner is decided.

Entrants must be 21 or older, two members per team and there is an entry fee. There will be a winners and losers bracket. Prize money payout is abased on the number of team entries. Entries close at 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15.
