Panthers fall from unbeaten ranks

PLYMOUTH – Sheboygan South handed the Plymouth Panthers their first dual loss of the boys swimming and diving season, 103-83, in a nonconference meet here Thursday night.

PHS dropped to 4-1 in dual action. The Panthers were led by senior Jesse Gambrell who won the 200- yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 7.94 seconds and the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.74.

Junior Derek Schieble was a double-winner to spark the Redwings. Schieble took first in the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.94 seconds and the 500 freestyle in 5:10.72.

South outscored PHS 12-4 in the 100 butterfly and 12-2 in the 200 freestyle relay which were crucial in the outcome of the meet.

The Redwings won the junior varsity dual, 132-32. James Seibert led the Panthers with a victory in the 100 freestyle.
