JEANETTE R. KOEPKE

Jeanette R. Koepke, age 82, of 221 South Pleasantview Road, Plymouth, Wis., passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning, Jan. 12, 2010, at her home.

She was born on March 13, 1927 in the town of Centerville in Manitowoc County, Wis., a daughter of the late Ervin Oehldrich Sr. and Marie A. Neuhaus Oehldrich.

She attended Pleasant Hill School in the town of Centerville.

On June 5, 1946, she married Ralph E. Koepke at St. Peter and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cleveland.

The couple farmed for 35 years on the family homestead in the town of Lyndon. The couple moved to Cascade in 1981 and Jeanette worked at Marshall’s Gas n’ Goods for 16 years, retiring in 2004.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade.

Jeanette enjoyed sewing, gardening, embroidering and spending time with her loving family.

Survivors include her loving husband of 64 years, Ralph, of Rocky Knoll Health Care facility; two daughters, Carol Marshall- Horne (Terrell C.) of Waldo, and Karen (Joseph) Stasiak of Elkhart Lake; six grandchildren, James (Michelle) Marshall of Plymouth, Jean (Scott) Trakel of Cascade, Joy (Kevin) Steltenpohl of Saukville, Michael (Susie) Roehrig of Kiel, Mark Roehrig of Kiel, Melissa Roehrig of Sheboygan; eight great-grandchildren, Jordan, Julia, Bradley, Katelyn, Kayla, Shawn, Ava and McKenna; one sister, Norma Henschel of Cleveland; one brother-in-law, Edgar (Eleanor) Koepke of Milwaukee; and one sister-in-law, Doris (Victor) Krahn of Plymouth.

Further survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.

Jeanette was preceded in death by one grandson, three sisters and seven brothers and one sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Viola and Elmer Seider.

Funeral services were held on Friday evening, Jan. 15 at Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Richard Bidinger, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade, officiated. Burial took place in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Jeanette’s name for the St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
