Elkhart has second-half woes
REEDSVILLE – The Reedsville Panthers, behind Adam Denor’s 13 points, outscored visiting Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah 36-17 in the second half to fuel a 67-43 romp in boys basketball Tuesday night.
The nonconference loss dropped the Resorters’ record to 1-10 and was their eighth consecutive defeat. Elkhart was plagued by 27 turnovers.
“Again, we had too many turnovers. We need to take care of the ball,” said Resorter head coach Jeremy Harrison.
“We need to keep working hard and learn to win in clutch situations.”
Senior guard Dane Blake led Elkhart in scoring with 19 points, assists, three and steals, five. Blake and Travis Kosnicki had a team-high eight rebounds each.
Denor sparked the Panthers’ offense with 18 points – 10 in the third period.
JV GAME
Elkhart lost the junior varsity contest (score unavailable). Justin Schneider and Taylor Kaboord led the Resorters’ attack with 12 points each and Devin Pfeifer rebounded well.
