New officers/gifts to hospital are focus of SNH annual meeting
The Partners of St. Nicholas Hospital has announced the installation of four new officers and also provided two gifts to St. Nicholas Hospital during its annual luncheon meeting Jan. 25.
New officers
Betty Logas, a former Partners’ president, installed a full slate of officers who will immediately begin serving two-year terms. These individuals include Sue Leibham as president, Eve Kovacs as vice president, Gladys Paulson as secretary, and Mary TerMaat as treasurer.
Outgoing President Joan Horne received a gift in appreciation for completing a four-year term as the Partners’ leader.
Gifts to SNH
St. Nicholas Hospital Gift Shop volunteers presented Donna Hutchinson, chief financial officer, St. Nicholas Hospital, with a check for $11,500 representing 2009 gift shop proceeds. This gift will be used to purchase hospital equipment including a Hoyer lift, a scale used for pulmonary functions, a phlebotomy cart, a Laboratory Services refrigerator, and stethoscopes and blood pressure cuffs.
Tanya Smith, director, Home Health and Hospice, also received a gift of $3,305, which represents donations received from the recent Love Lights fund-raising drive. This gift will be used to purchase Lifeline units that enable many area residents to continue to live independently. The LIFELINE personal emergency response system links individuals with serious medical concerns to a local 24-hour emergency assistance at the push of a button.
