PAUL A. WONDRA

Paul A. Wondra, age 81, of Glenbeulah, Wis., passed away peacefully and went to be with his Lord Sunday morning, Jan. 31, 2010 at St. Nicholas Hospital.

He was born Oct. 26, 1928 in Dodge County, a son of the late Kilian and Cecelia (Gindt) Wondra.

On June 9, 1951, he married Delphina Schmitz at St. Fridolin Catholic Church in Glenbeulah.

They purchased a farm in the town of Greenbush that they worked until retirement in 1993. He had also been employed at the Kohler Co. for 12 years. In retirement, Paul drove school bus part time.

He was a member of St. Fridolin Catholic Church.

Paul’s main focus was his loving family. He also enjoyed going to auctions and spending his free time simply tinkering with whatever needed fixing.

Survivors include his wife, Del; two sons, Eugene (Sandy) of Oneida and Jeffrey (Lawanna) of New Holstein; three daughters, Cynthia Wondra of Sheboygan, Deborah (Michael) Bruning of Mondovi and Christine (Richard) Williams of Sheboygan; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two step grandchildren; three brothers, Raymond (Alice) and Leo and Albert (Pat), all of Mayville; four sisters, Florence (Gilbert) Gitter of Fond du Lac, Helen Thimm of Hartford and Genevieve (Norman) Matenaer and Cecelia (Joe) Belligan, both of West Bend; as well as one brother-in-law and three sisters-in-law and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Paul Joseph, and two brothers, Arnold and Edward.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, at St. Fridolin Chapel in Glenbeulah. The Very Rev. Dennis Van Beek, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
