ROBERT J. MASKE
Robert J. Maske, age 70, of 428 Lincoln Drive, Howards Grove, Wis., passed away with his wife at his side and surrounded by his loving family at his home early Saturday evening, Jan. 30, 2010.
He was born Aug. 28, 1939 in Park Falls, Wis. (Price County), a son of the late George and Anna Borowske Maske and stepfather Jesse Schultz. He attended Park Falls Schools.
On Nov. 8, 1958, he married Audrey Redig in Marshfield, Wis. The couple have resided in Marshfield, Spencer, Grafton, Adell for 29 years and since 2005 in Howards Grove.
Robert owned/operated his own masonry business, known as Maske Construction, and also worked as a welder for many different companies including Gehl Co. in West Bend and retiring from the Matenear Co. in West Bend.
In his retirement, he worked for the town of Sherman Recycling Program.
Robert enjoyed hunting deer and turkeys with his children, fishing with his buddies Tom, Carl and his family, riding his four wheeler and loved to putz around the house and could fix anything that broke.
Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Audrey of Howards Grove; seven children: Ronald (Connie) Maske of Plymouth, Ricky (Lori) Maske of Campbellsport, Audrey Lynn (Gary) Herman of Burnett, Randy Maske (special friend, Karie) of Plymouth, Rodney Maske of Plymouth, Zachary Maske of Adell and Nathaniel Maske (special friend, Stephanie) of Adell; 15 grandchildren: Troy Maske of Sparta, Jessica Maske of Sparta, Ronnie Robert Maske of South Dakota, Echo Maske of Sun Prairie, Chad Maske of Campbellsport, Rebecca Herman of Randolph, Cynthia Herman of Beaver Dam, Keith Herman of Randolph, Tyson Maske, Cassandra Maske of Plymouth, Christopher Maske of Plymouth, Crystal Maske of Cedar Grove, Elizabeth Lockman of Sheboygan Falls, Wyatt Chaney of Sheboygan and Grandpa’s special little one, Emma Maske of Adell; two step grandchildren, Justin and Calvin Weild; four great-grandchildren; four brothers-in-law: Wally Redig of Port Washington, Richard Redig of Marshfield, Robert (Mary) Redig of Marshfield and Dennis (Leona) Redig of Sheboygan; three sisters-in-law: Darla Meddaugh (special friend, Verlin Holt) of Marshfield, Carol (Rick) Sterzinger of Auburndale, Wis., and Rea Maske of Salem, Ore.; special friends and neighbors, Jimmy and Nancy; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, four sisters, and his father- and mother-in-law, Walter and Edna Redig.
Following Robert’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or viewing. Inurnment will be in the Nola Cemetery in Park Falls.
