MAXINE L. SCHNEIDER
Maxine L. Schneider, age 80, of 418A Appleton St., Plymouth, Wis., passed away early Friday morning, Feb. 5, 2010, at Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center where she had been a patient for the last five days.
She was born Feb. 1, 1930 in Neopit, Wis., a daughter of the late George and Theresa Rentmeester Funk. She attended St. Anthony Catholic Grade School in Neopit and attended Shawano High School.
On Aug. 23, 1947, she married Lloyd Schneider in Fond du Lac, Wis. The couple lived in Milwaukee for two years and moved to Greenbush in 1949. She was employed at Plymouth High School in the Food Service Program for over 28 years. Her husband preceded her in death Sept. 12, 2004.
She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Elkhart Lake, and belonged to the Christian Mothers Society in the church.
She enjoyed spending time at the cottage at Boulder Junction, and with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children: Linda (Lyle) Jens of Elkhart Lake, Michael (Kathy) Schneider of Greenbush, Roger Schneider (special friend, Beth Waller) of Plymouth and Lisa (Pat) Grimes of Plymouth; four grandchildren: Christopher (Lori) Jens of Port Washington, Megan (Chad) Hansen of Plymouth, Eva (Eric) Hoitink of Plymouth and Chloe Grimes of Plymouth; three greatgrandchildren: Jamie and Shane Hansen of Plymouth and Audrey Jens of Port Washington; one sister, Clarice Janke of Salt Lake City, Utah; one brother, Raymond (Pat) Funk of Green Bay; and also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Lehman and Priscilla Zagar; and six brothers, Wilbert, Percy, George Jr., LeRoy, Charles and an infant brother.
Memorial Mass was held at 6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at St. Fridolin’s Chapel in Glenbeulah. The Very Rev. Dennis Van Beek, pastor of the church, officiated.
Cremation took place and inurnment was in St. Thomas Aquinas South Cemetery in the town of Greenbush.
