VERNON A. “JOE” TRACY

Vernon A. “Joe” Tracy, 75, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Thursday morning, Feb. 4, 2010, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan.

Joe was born Dec. 11, 1934 in Cascade, son of the late Alford and Helen (Torke) Tracy. He was a 1952 graduate of Plymouth High School.

On May 14, 1955, he married Ceil Kohlman in Cascade.

Joe was employed as a dock foreman with Kohler Co. for 37 years and Packaging Systems in the town of Sheboygan for 15 years until his retirement in 2007.

Joe was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls.

He was a member of the Kohler Co. Quarter Century Club and served on the board of the Fire and Police Commission in Sheboygan Falls.

Joe enjoyed meeting his Kohler Co. co-workers at Brennan’s on Wednesday nights and he was also a charter member of the Sports Core. He also enjoyed walking, loved his music, and enjoyed dancing, sports, traveling, his family and his grandchildren, never missing their sporting events. Joe was an avid Packer fan and held season tickets since 1960. He traveled to the Super Bowl in New Orleans when the Packers defeated the Patriots.

Survivors include his wife, Ceil; one daughter, Kelly (Tim) Schultz of Appleton; three sons, Tim (Mary) Tracy of Tucson, Ariz., Mike (Deborah) Tracy of Neenah and Dan Tracy (his fiancée, Lori Weimann and her children, Michael and Ashley Koenig) of the town of Sheboygan; eight grandchildren, Stephanie (Michael) Mahan, Tara and Erin Tracy, Patrick, Shannon and Ashley Tracy, and Josh and Jordan Schultz; one sister, Ella Block of Hingham; one brother, Joe (Delores) Tracy of School Hill; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents and twin infant sons.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Bob Lotz officiating. Burial will take place at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery on Tuesday morning, Feb. 9.

Visitation was held at the church Monday until the time of Mass.
