Night of Celtic magic at Weill Center Feb. 24

Celtic Legends, featuring Irish singing sensation Michael Londra, will be performing Wednesday, Feb. 24, at the Stefanie H. Weill Center for the Performing Arts in Sheboygan.

The Celtic Legends are considered the most powerful and inspirational performing company of Celtic music on tour today. The performance includes the finest in traditional Irish music, dance and song molded into a presentation that is considered the most dynamic of its genre.

As with many Celtic performances, dance brings an unmatched energy to the stage. With a highly trained troupe of 13 dancers, Celtic Legends has gained the respect of audiences in the Sheboygan area and around the world. Unmatched footwork with precise execution, these dancers deliver a performance that appears effortless in its perfection.

The intense performance of the dancers is triggered by the Celtic Legends live band with brilliant musicians playing fiddles, pipes, accordion, whistles and guitars. These Irish musicians were selected to perform with Celtic Legends for their musical skills and depth of emotion in its performance. This is an interactive night, which can only be described as an Irish jam session with spectacular eye-catching dance.

The band will stimulate emotions, the dance will mesmerize, and the voice of Londra will paint emotional pictures of joy, love and passion. Londra became internationally respected as the voice of the Broadway sensation Riverdance and The Passion of the Christ Symphony. On a trip to Paris, Londra saw Celtic Legends perform and was so impressed that he agreed to join the cast both as artist director and as an occasional guest artist. Hailed by Capital Celtic as “one of the greatest Irish singers of our time” Londra brings his ethereal voice to fuse with the traditional band creating a night of Celtic magic.
