Emergency funds allocation meeting topic
The Emergency Food and Shelter Program Board (formerly FEMA) will meet Thursday, Feb. 18, at 9 a.m. at the Park Plaza Apartments Community Room, 909 Ontario Ave., Sheboygan.
The board will determine which Sheboygan County non-profit social service agencies will receive portions of this year’s allocation from the Emergency Food and Shelter Program. (EFSP).
The board consists of representatives from 15 various Sheboygan social service agencies along with community members. This year $82,631 will be distributed, which is a 57 percent increase over last year’s funding of $47,370.
Funding is based upon this jurisdiction’s total number of unemployed as compared to the total number of unemployed in all other qualifying jurisdictions.
