Love Bowls fundraiser set for Sunday

Meals on Wheels will hold their 10th annual Love Bowls Sunday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Sheboygan South High Schools.

Patrons can buy a beautiful Talavera bowl and sample as many delectable soups as they wish. More than 50 local restaurants donate a wide variety of soups, chilis and chowders. Bread and butter, cookies, soda, milk and/or coffee accompany the soup for free.

Patrons will have an opportunity to win a set of four love bowls by becoming a Love Bowls Facebook friend.

A wide variety of entertainment will be provided throughout the day, including Sheboygan Light Rail (contemporary folk), Roses & Thorns (bluegrass), the Sheboygan North High School Drumline, pianist Dan Ognavic, the Sheboygan Falls Middle School Jazz Band, Middle Eastern belly dancing and the Irish Sessions group from 52 Stafford in Plymouth.

This year’s event will be bigger than ever with more bowls, more soup, more raffle items and more family fun. All proceeds raised at Love Bowls are used to feed people right here in Sheboygan County.
