BETTY J. SCHNETTLER

Betty J. Schnettler, 85, of Sayner, Wis., and formerly of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at the Sheboygan Senior Community.

Betty was born Sept. 20, 1924 in Plymouth, Wis., to Albert and Jennie (Lorge) Kellner. She was a 1943 graduate of Sheboygan North High School.

On June 26, 1948, she married Robert J. Schnettler at St. Dominic’s Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Robert passed away Nov. 25, 1983.

Betty was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sayner, and formerly a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls.

She was an avid golfer, tennis player and fan, and enjoyed playing cards. She loved Plum Lake, the northwoods, and was a major supporter of the Plum Lake Library.

Betty is survived by one daughter, Susan (Bruce) Schrimpf of Milwaukee; four sons, Thomas (Joanie) Schnettler of Kohler, James (Phyllis) Schnettler of Sheboygan Falls, Robert Jr. (Joya) Schnettler of Sheboygan Falls and Michael (Alison) Schnettler of Louisville, Colo.; 14 grandchildren, Michael, Elizabeth and Katherine Schrimpf, Jill (Scott) McGregor, Amy (Martin) Harms, Kyle (Laura) Schnettler, Kya Schnettler, Kale Schnettler, David Schnettler, Mark (Trisha) Schnettler, Robert III (Sarah) Schnettler, Bryan Schnettler, Renee Schnettler and Nicole Schnettler; four great-grandchildren, Kelsey and Evan McGregor, Avery and Jack Harms; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; sister, Marion Grube and brother, Harold Kellner.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls with the Rev. Bob Lotz officiating.

Relatives and friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of the Mass Wednesday at Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls.

On Friday, March 5, Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sayner with the Rev. Bernard Bryne officiating. Interment will be in Sayner Cemetery, town of Plum Lake, Vilas County, Wis.

Relatives and friends may call one hour prior to the Mass Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sayner.

A memorial fund is being established in Betty’s name for St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sayner and the Plum Lake Library.
