MARION L. SPINDLER
Marion L. Spindler, age 80, of W6315 Inez Court, Plymouth, Wis., passed away early Friday morning, Feb. 26, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac where she had been a patient for the last five days.
She was born Oct. 17, 1929 in Sheboygan Falls, a daughter of the late Henry and Jeannette Veldhorst Wassink. She attended Sheboygan Falls grade schools, graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1947 and attended Sheboygan Business College.
On June 20, 1953, she married Erwin L. Spindler at the First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls. The couple lived in Sheboygan Falls after their marriage until moving to Plymouth in 1961.
She was employed at Steger’s Heating and Appliances in Plymouth for 17 years retiring in 1991.
She was a lifelong member of the First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls, a former Sunday school teacher, a member of the Martha Circle, Ruth Circle and the RCWM of the church.
She was also a charter member of the former Mullet Maidens Homemakers Club. After her retirement, she served as a volunteer for the Salvation Army.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Erwin of Plymouth; one daughter, Diane (Donald) Liebenthal of Plymouth; one son, Ralph Spindler (wife, Barbara Howard) of Palatine, Ill.; four grandchildren: Christopher Liebenthal (friend, Angel Logsdon and her daughter, Brittany) of Plymouth, Brian Liebenthal (fiancé, Ashley Reetz) of Sheboygan Falls, Amber Liebenthal of Plymouth and Sarah Howard of Palatine, Ill.; two great-grandchildren, Nathanial and Anastacia Ademe; one brother, Marvin (Helen) Wassink of Muskegon, Mich.; and one sister-in-law, Esther Hemschemeyer of Sheboygan. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
She was also preceded in death by one infant daughter and two brothers-in-law, Gilbert (Mary) Spindler and Charles Hemschemeyer.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, at the First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls. The Rev. Brad Veenendaal, pastor of the church, will officiate. Entombment will be in the Gardens of Peace Mausoleum in the town of Sheboygan.
