Bagnall announced as president and CEO of St. Nicholas Hospital

The Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) recently announced that Andrew J. Bagnall has been named as president and chief executive officer of St. Nicholas Hospital.

Bagnall is currently the chief executive officer of Select Specialty Hospital in Davenport, Iowa. In this role, he is responsible for the overall performance of this 50-bed long-term acute care hospital, including quality of service delivery, clinical outcomes and financial performance.

The announcement was made before groups of hospital colleagues, physicians, and community leaders.

“I am excited to have Andy on board as president and CEO of St. Nicholas Hospital,” said Therese B. Pandl, HSHS divisional president and CEO, Eastern Wisconsin. “Andy has the enthusiasm and leadership experience to guide St. Nicholas Hospital while continuing our tradition of providing a Franciscan healing experience.”

“I am honored to have this exciting opportunity to join the dedicated hospital colleagues, medical staff, and volunteers who work at St. Nicholas Hospital and to be an integral part of this community,” Bagnall said. “Together, we will continue to provide high-quality, spiritually based, wholistic health care services that meet the needs of Sheboygan County residents.”

Bagnall will begin his new role at St. Nicholas Hospital, March 15.

Bagnall earned his Masters in Health Administration from St. Ambrose University, Davenport, Iowa, and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has served as a board member of the Iowa Medical Group Management Association and a member of several committees for the Iowa Hospital Association. He is a member of the Davenport Kiwanis Club, served on the South Tama County Community School District Board of Education, and has served on many other community boards and committees.

Bagnall, his wife Lael, and their three children look forward to their new adventures as they move from Davenport to the Sheboygan area in the coming weeks.
