JEAN M. BORKENHAGEN

Jean M. Borkenhagen, age 58, of W6454 Lake Ellen Drive, Cascade, passed away unexpectedly at her home Sunday, March 7.

She was born June, 3, 1951 in Sheboygan, a daughter of the late Lawrence Verhage and Mary Ann Block Verhage. She graduated from Kohler High School in 1969.

She was married Sept. 30, 1972, to John Borkenhagen at St. George Catholic Church in Six Corners. They lived in the town of Scott until building their home on Lake Ellen in 1987.

She had been a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade.

She had been employed at Sargento Foods, Allen Edmonds in Lake Church, and the Kohler Co.

Jean enjoyed doing word puzzles, fishing, bowling, playing cards and spending time with family and friends camping and just sitting around a campfire, sharing stories and having fun.

Survivors include her husband, John; one son, Terry (Karen) of Random Lake; one daughter, Vicki (Keith) Hiller of Random Lake; five grandchildren, Laura Mueller, Jeremy Mueller, Brianna Borkenhagen, Mitchell and Tucker Hiller; her mother, Mary Ann Verhage of Sheboygan; one sister, Bonnie Braun of Elkhart Lake; six brothers, Gary (Carolyn) Verhage, James (Julie) Verhage and John Verhage, all of Sheboygan, Paul Verhage of Random Lake, Mark (Lori) Verhage of Kentucky and Scott (Bev) of Kewaskum; and her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Paul Borkenhagen and Lisa (Doug) Nytes, both of Adell, Nancy Suemnicht of Plymouth, Dennis (Becky) Borkenhagen of Mishicot, Mona Buettner of West Bend, David Borkenhagen of Cascade and Richard (Linda) Borkenhagen of Sheboygan.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, March 12, at the Wittkopp-Schneider Funeral Home in Plymouth with the Rev. Richard Bidinger, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, officiating.
