Local girls teams host regional games

Plymouth, Howards Grove and Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah will play their girls basketball regional openers at home.

PHS (13-9), a No. 4 seed, will face No. 5-seeded Berlin in a Division 2 first-round game Tuesday, March 9 at 7 p.m. The winner will meet the Sheboygan Falls-Mayville victor in the semifinals Thursday at 7 p.m. at the higher seed. Falls is the No. 1 seed.

Howards (18-4), a No. 3 seed, will play sixth-seeded St. Mary’s Springs (Fond du Lac) in Division 3 first-round action Tuesday, March 9 at 7 p.m. The winner advances to Thursday’s semifinals against the Oostburg-Sheboygan Lutheran victor at 7 p.m. at the higher seed.

Elkhart earned a No. 1 seed in its Division 4 regional and received a first-round bye. The Resorters will meet the Living Word Lutheran (Jackson)-Kohler winner in the semifinals Thursday at Elkhart at 7 p.m.

If the Resorters win, they advance to the finals Saturday at Cedar Grove-Belgium
