Sheboygan Concert Association membership drive is under way

Some of the world's best music will be coming to the Sheboygan area during the Sheboygan Concert Association's 2010-11 season. The membership drive for the series is under way and will run through April 15.

This season will mark the 82nd season of the organization, which has presented live performances during the years under various names: the Sheboygan Civic Music Association; the Sheboygan Community Concerts Association; and presently as the Sheboygan Concert Association.

The concerts to be presented by the association include: Broadway singing sensation Jeri Sager, Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010; The Four Freshmen, Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011: pianist Ilya Yakushev, Monday, March 7, 2011; and the Burning River Brass Ensemble, Thursday, May 5, 2011.

All concerts will be held at the Sheboygan Theatre in the Stefanie H. Weill Center for the Performing Arts, 826 N. Eighth St. This facility is fully handicapped-accessible, and all performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. with seating on a first-come, first-served basis.

Early bird memberships will be available through April 15. After the close of the membership drive, prices will have increased.

In addition, the first 100 new members will be able to purchase seats for the performance of the Harry James Orchestra, Thursday, April 8.
