DENNIS LESTER BOELDT

Dennis Lester Boeldt, age 63, of Plymouth, Wis., passed away early Sunday evening, March 7, 2010, at Plymouth Care Center where he had been a resident for the past four days.

He was born Aug. 18, 1946 in Sheboygan Falls, Wis., son of the late Lester and Rebecca Czarniecki Boeldt. He attended Holden Grade School in the town of Sheboygan Falls and Sheboygan Falls High School.

On June 1, 1991, he married Lily Brooks Leckman in Milwaukee. The couple have resided in the Plymouth area since their marriage.

Dennis was raised on a farm, drove mail truck for the Milwaukee Post Office; also did mason and carpentry work before doing over-the-road truck driving with his wife for five years. He also drove dump truck for Harvey’s Inc. in Sheboygan Falls. He has loved every job he ever had.

His hobbies were growing roses, working out at Anytime Fitness Center, Plymouth, and joy-riding on weekends. He is known for being sincere, honest, dependable and always on the go.

He was a member of Salem Plankroad United Church of Christ in the town of Sheboygan Falls.

He is survived by his wife, Lily of Plymouth; one sister, Bev Resop of Sheboygan Falls; two adopted sons, Bruce (Lisa) Leckman of Juneau, Wis., and Lamar (Stacy) Leckman of Wauwatosa; two grandchildren, Madelyn and Aaron Leckman of Wauwatosa; and also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was also preceded in death by his twin brother, Dale and older brother, Allen “Butch” Boeldt; and one brother-in-law, Dick Resop.

Following Dennis’ wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Cremation has taken place.
