4-H Madison All Stars January 9 meeting
The Jan. 9 meeting was called to order by Abby Faul. The American pledge was led by Katie Deheck and the 4-H pledge was led by Abby Faul. Roll call was “What is your favorite winter activity?” The secretary’s report was in the newsletter. David Bimmel gave the treasurer’s report. Shawn Burkhart gave the youth association report and Randy Meyer gave the leaders’ association report. Abby read two items of correspondence.
Old business.
Mark Fisher thanked everyone for helping this year with Salvation Army bell ringing. Abby Faul gave a report about the Christmas caroling party. The winter camp report was given by Anna Burkhart. There was a motion made and passed to hold winter camp again next year on Jan. 7 and 8.
Ongoing business
was next on the agenda. Jackson Bayer talked about the Music and Drama Festival. There was a sign-up at the meeting.
Speeches and demonstrations
were given by Peter Bimmel, Brianna Kleckner, Tyler Fischer, Abby Debbink, Ashley Oppeneer and Shawn Burkhart.
New business.
The valentine’s workshop will be held on Feb. 6. Heather Pfeiffer and Katie Deheck are in charge. There was a sign-up at the meeting. Carol Bimmel talked about a fundraiser at the pizza ranch in Oostburg. There were enough volunteers and we will do this on Monday, March 15. Randy Meyer went over guidelines and budget and they were approved. Sara Fisher asked new leaders to introduce themselves.
