PAC `Mill Street Live’ auditions slated for April 3

If you like singing and dancing and enjoy performing in front of an audience, come and audition to be a part of the Mill Street Guild. The Plymouth Arts Center and Mill Street Guild will be presenting the 2010 Friday night summer series of “Mill Street Live” in June, July and August.

Auditions will be held at the Plymouth Arts Center, 520 E. Mill St., downtown Plymouth, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 3.

Anyone going into their senior year of high school on up is welcome to audition.

Come with a chorus and verse of any non-musical theater song prepared. The Mill Street Guild would prefer that you either sing with a backing track or come with sheet music, but it can be sung a cappella as well. There will be a short dance taught at the audition as well, so wear clothes appropriate for movement (no jeans!).

If you cannot make this date, contact the Mill Street Guild at millstreetguild@gmail.com to set up an audition time.

The Mill Street’s Guild Mission is….

Combining our talents, desires, and efforts, the Mill Street Guild intends on reaching out to our community of Sheboygan County and its surrounding areas to provide high-energy entertainment in both singing and dancing. Utilizing locally talented individuals who share in our passion for the art of entertaining, as well as uniting with fellow performers to bring out the best in one another, the Mill Street Guild’s main goals are to perform, engage, and excite audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

The Mill Street Guild is looking forward to expanding the group in their second year, so any other musical or performance talents are appreciated as well. Bring your energy, enthusiasm, and willing attitude.

Plymouth Arts Center Executive Director Donna Hahn said, “The Mill Street Guild dazzled our audiences with impressive, high-energy singing and dancing last summer. We are looking forward to another great summer series and welcome everyone to join us for a sneak preview of the show at the Plymouth Festival of Fine Arts, on Saturday, June 12. Check our Web site for more details at www.plymoutharts.org.”
