ACRE and DCP sign-up deadline is June 1

The deadlines for electing and enrolling in the Average Crop Revenue Election (ACRE) program or the traditional Direct and Counter-Cyclical Program (DCP) are fast approaching. The deadline to enroll in the 2010 ACRE or DCP is June 1, 2010.

If you are interested in the ACRE program, you must start the process as soon as possible. It is a complex signup and the sooner you start the process, the better.

Please contact the Sheboygan County FSA Office at (920) 467-9917 to schedule an appointment. More information regarding these and other programs can be found at the following Web site: www.fsa. usda.gov. Feel free to contact the office if you have any questions or concerns.

Just a reminder: FSA will have to see everyone after you are finished planting also. In other words, FSA will be seeing you at least twice this spring/summer – once to sign up in DCP or ACRE and then again after your crops are planted.
