AGNES A. HUNT
Agnes A. Hunt, age 84, of 930 E. Clifford St., Plymouth, Wis., passed away peacefully at Woodland Village at Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility early Monday morning, March 22, 2010, where she had been a resident for one month.
Agnes was born Jan. 19, 1926 in Sheboygan, Wis., a daughter of the late Michael and Frances Micholich Sedmak.
Agnes attended Sheboygan grade schools and graduated from Central High School in 1945. She attended Radio School in Minneapolis, Minn., and was recruited for the Military Intelligence Center at Arlington, Va., serving as a cryptographer under Presidents Roosevelt and Truman until the end of World War II.
On Nov. 25, 1950, she married Dale A. Hunt of Sheboygan, Wis. The couple resided in Sheboygan, Sheboygan Falls and then Waupaca and moving to Plymouth.
She worked at the Kohler Co. in the office for several years and retired from J.C. Penney as an interior decorator. Her husband preceded her in death Dec. 31, 1995. She is a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls.
She enjoyed Bible studies, crossword puzzles, reading, and her loving family.
Survivors include her three children: Deborah (Richard) Austin of De Pere, Wis., Marsha (Brad) Vollbrecht of Plymouth and Paul Hunt of Appleton, Wis.; 10 grandchildren: Rebecca Austin of New York, Angela Austin of De Pere, Samantha Austin of De Pere, Erin (Brad) Polczynski of West Allis, Wis., Mark Vollbrecht of Appleton, Stacey Vollbrecht of Plymouth, Heather Hunt of Waupaca, Wis., Colton Hunt of Waupaca, Dalyne Dunn of Sheboygan and Phillip Hunt of Sheboygan; one great-granddaughter, Evelyn Dunn; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Hunt of Green Bay, Wis., and Carolyn Hunt of Howards Grove; also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Mike, Steve and John and one sister, Anne.
Funeral services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Thomas Gudmundson, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls, will officiate. Burial will be in Greendale Cemetery in the town of Sheboygan.
