EDWARD D. MALLMANN

Edward D. Mallmann, age 66, formerly of New Holstein, died Monday, March 22, 2010, at the Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.

He was born Nov. 16, 1943 in Chilton, son of the late Jacob Daniel and Gertrude (Lodes) Mallmann. He married Barbara Tegeler on June 13, 1964 in Chilton.

Ed worked at the Borden Cheese Co. in Plymouth for 38 years and farmed in Greenbush for 15 years.

Earlier in his life, Edward enjoyed taking his children camping and spent a lot of time shooting pool. Ed was a hard worker and loved the time he spent farming. In his leisure time, he enjoyed watching sports, especially baseball and football. He also cherished time he could spend with his children and grandchildren.

He will be remembered for his big heart; he would have given anyone the shirt off his back if they needed it.

He will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by his wife, Barbara; two children, Gary (Cheryl) Mallmann of Greenbush and Tonia (Kevin) Hetzel of Sheboygan Falls; seven grandchildren: Mark, Bradley, Brianna, Travis, Christopher, Bailey and Devin; and 10 siblings: Agnes, Raymond, Anthony, Norbert, Theresa, Julie, Margaret, Annie, Charlotte and Dorothy. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Mark and Robin; and a brother, Charlie.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (1212 Teckla Pl.) in Kiel. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Chilton.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 27. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Edward D. Mallmann.
