Cold storage loans for fruit and vegetable producers

The Farm Service Agency’s (FSA) Farm Storage Facility Loan (FSFL) program has been amended to allow producers to build cold storage facilities to store fresh fruits and vegetables.

The expansion of the FSFL program will provide fruit and vegetable producers with new storage and marketing opportunities. The program will help producers to finance the purchase, construction, or refurbishment of cold storage facilities.

For more information on this program or other FSA farm programs, contact the Sheboygan County FSA county office at (920) 467-9917 or http://www.fsa.usda.gov.
