Carman, Leffin share first-team All-EWC honors
Falls’ Hamilton named top coach

Sheboygan Falls Falcons seniors Lauren Carman and Emilie Leffin have been selected to receive firstteam All-Eastern Wisconsin Conference honors for the 2009-2010 girls basketball season.
Falls junior Brooke Buehler and freshman Staci Hasler each earned honorable-mention accolades.
Carman, who scored 1,097 points during her career at Falls, was a unanimous selection by EWC coaches. She was a three-time first-team selection, winning the EWC’s Most Valuable Player Award last season.
Carman ranked second in the EWC in scoring, with a 13.0 points per game average (52-of-153), first in free-throw percentage (71 percent, 81-of-114) and third in rebounding at 9.87 rebounds per game.
Leffin was named to the first team for the first time, after gaining second-team honors in 2009. She led the EWC in field-goal percentage with 73-of-129 (57 percent).
Leffin also placed second in rebounding, with 10.47 rebounds per game and fifth in scoring at 11.6 points per game.
Hasler, a first-time All-EWC selection was 12th in scoring, with 8.4 points per game, second in the EWC in steals, averaging 2.6 steals per game, and second in blocked shots.
Buehler, a first time All-EWC selection, scored 6.1 points per game and was third in the EWC in steals, with 2.5 steals per game.
Leroy Hamilton of Sheboygan Falls and Kewaskum’s Mike Kleinhans were voted Co-Coaches of the Year in the conference by their peers.
Hamilton directed the Falcons to the EWC title with a 13-1 record, while Kleinhans’ squad placed second in the EWC standings at 11-3.
Becca Diedrich of Two Rivers, who was named the EWC Player of the Year, and Anna Butler of Kewaskum were also unanimous selections to the first-team squad.
