Sheboygan Falls Falcons junior Nick Roelse has been named to the Eastern Wisconsin Conference first team for his exceptional performance, during the 2009-10 boys basketball season.

Roelse, a first-time All-EWC selection, led the EWC in rebounding, with 9.36 boards per game.

He also finished fifth among EWC scorers, with a 14.0 scoring average, and wound up sixth in assists, with a 3.1 average per contest.

Falls senior Zach Berg earned honorable-mention recognition.

Berg, also a first-time All-EWC selection, averaged 9.5 points per game and shot 33 percent from 3- point range, during the recently completed campaign.

Brandon Gries of Kiel and Austin Armga of Waupun were named Co-Players of the Year in the EWC.

Randy Armga (Austin’s father) of Waupun was voted the league’s Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season. Armga, who guided the Warriors to their third straight EWC title, shared the top coaching honor with Plymouth’s Scott Richards last year.
