Home lost to fire
On April 5 at approximately 5:48 p.m., the Sheriff’s Department received a cellular 911 call from a subject stating that a home near his was on fire. The caller further stated that he could see flames emanating from the roof area of the residence at W9133 County D, (which is located in the town of Scott, in the far southwestern area of Sheboygan County).
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Department and fire departments from Batavia, Beechwood, Random Lake, Cascade, Silver Creek, Kewaskum, Boltonville and Campbellsport were dispatched to the scene along with Random Lake ambulance. When the initial responding units arrived on-scene, the residence was fully engulfed in flames.
The home was unoccupied when the fire started. There were no injuries or fatalities as a result of the blaze. The residence is a total loss and the cause of the fire is under investigation. The Sheboygan County Fire Investigation Unit and the State Fire Marshall are assisting with the investigation.
The home is owned by Kenneth Wagner.
