Panthers breeze to JV win

PLYMOUTH – “This was a great win against an always-competitive [Sheboygan] South team,” said Plymouth junior varsity girls soccer coach Brad Feick after the Panthers’ 7-0 rout here Tuesday afternoon.

Johanna Schmidt ignited the Panthers’ offense with an impressive four goals, followed by Kim Luenstaedt’s two. Sarah Ruby kicked the other goal.

Sarah Gamoke had a team-high two assists and Kylie Birenbaum, one. PHS goalies Shanna Niedfeldt and Emily Vorpagel combined for three saves.

“Johanna played a great game at forward,” said Feick whose squad is 2-0-1. “Sarah played very well at left forward.”
