Mosel Farm and Home 4-H Club – February and March

Andy Wieland, the president, called the Mosel Farm and Home 4-H club meeting to order Monday, Feb. 8, at Mosel Town Hall starting around 7 p.m., after the Valentine’s Day project, which started at 6:15 p.m. Kelly led the U.S. pledge and Sara Athorp led the 4-H pledge. The roll call question was, “Who is your favorite Valentine?”

The secretary’s and treasurers’ reports were read and accepted.

Old business:

We discussed • That we sent 71 cards to the veterans hospital through the Valentines for Vets project. • That we completed the Valentine’s Day project that night before the meeting. • That we are rescheduling the sledding to Saturday, Feb. 13. • That we brought the supplies for the former graduate-college care packages to the meeting. • That we brought a child-size toothbrush and toothpaste to the meeting.

New business: We discussed

• The Music and Drama performance is Feb. 20, and we are performing at 1:45 p.m.

• Katelynn Mauk and Emily Wagner are in charge of getting our Music and Drama leaders cards and gift certificates.

• On Thursday, Feb. 11, we are making book bags for the Head Start kid. • You need to talk to Vikki Wagner if you need a project add-or-drop form. • You should give Vikki Wagner the soda tabs for Angel Hugs if you brought them.

• You should bring newspaper articles, pictures, etc. to Sara Athorp for the Reporter Book.

We also celebrated Kelly Wieland’s, Emily Wagner’s, Aaron Wagner’s, and Tera Ziegelbauer’s birthdays this month.

The roll call question was, “What is your favorite class at school?”

The secretary’s and treasurers’ reports were read and accepted.

Old business:

We discussed • Sledding was held Feb. 13. • We placed second at the Music and Drama Festival, so we get to perform at the State Fair.

New business: We discussed • The Easter project is being held March 13. • Club bowling is being held April 17 at JB’s. • Bingo is being held at 1:30 p.m. March 14 at the Golden Living Center. • Every family should bring three-five cans to the April meeting for the food drive. • We had a Community Service Committee report:

* We should bring a raffle basket idea to April’s meeting. The basket is for Project Angel Hugs.

We also celebrated Caden Bramstedt’s, Amanda Denhof’s, Leeann Hitsman’s and Lavonne Athorp’s birthdays this month.
