Tea Party

To the Editor:

I have been receiving the Plymouth Review for over a year now, and have started noticing quite a large amount of time and cartoon space dedicated to degrading the Tea Party. Why?

The area that this paper represents is very patriotic, and conservative. I am not a member of the Tea Party, but I do understand and agree with their anger.

The Tea Party is trying to provide taxpayers the information needed to engage with, and provide information to, candidates and elected representatives. They are also providing taxpayers with accurate information on legislation and actions taken (or proposed) by elected representatives and candidates. They are also assisting in helping everyday Americans learn about our founding documents (The Bill of Rights, The Constitution, and Declaration of independence).

So, again I ask why the negativity? Is there an agenda behind the Review? When will we see a positive story about the Tea Party?

I would like to see some balance!

Editor’s note: There has been a general analysis, a cartoon related to that analysis, a comment on a Madison rally, and three letters, including this one.
