Elkhart golfers sixth in Falls Invite

SHEBOYGAN FALLS – The Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Resorters opened their boys golf season Wednesday with a sixth-place showing in the Sheboygan Falls Invitational.

Elkhart shot an 18-hole score of 376 at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms. The Resorters were led by Tom Abromaitis who carded a 91.

The Nicolet A team won the 16-team tournament with 333 and Falls took second with 341. Nic Vrubley of Cedar Grove-Belgium was the medalist with a 1-over-par 73.

“I thought we played well for our first meet. I was proud of everyone,” said Resorter head coach Bart Larson.

Elkhart’s other low players were Myles Galloway with a 92; Neven Grgic, 93; and Oliver Sadig, 100. Falls was paced by Aaron Krueger’s 80 which gave him fourth.
