Falcons win County Invite

The Sheboygan Falls Falcons golf team won the Sheboygan County Invite Championship on Saturday, April 17 at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms.
Falls shot a team total of 353 as they beat 2nd place Plymouth and Sheboygan Lutheran who tied at 364.
Falcons sophomore Aaron Krueger led the team with an 84 and freshman Chris Bachmann shot an 86. Junior Nick Roelse carded a 90 and senior Kody Meanor rounded out the scoring with a 93. Geno Kiela from Plymouth was medallist with a 77.
Plymouth and Kiel rose to the top of the Eastern Wisconsin Conference in the first EWC Mini-tour event at Hon-E-Kor golf course in Kewaskum. Geno Kiela from Plymouth was the Medallist shooting a brilliant 38.
Plymouth won the event by four strokes over Kiel, by shooting a team total 175. Falls came in 5th with a 188 led by Roelse and Krueger, shooting 42 and 43, respectively.
Wednesday, April 14, the Falls golf team took 2nd in a multi-division 16-team invite at the Bull. Krueger and Roelse led the team shooting an 80 and 81 placing 4th and 6th respectively. Bachmann finished with an 84 (7th place) and Will Meyer shot a 96 rounding out the Falcons scoring.
There were 80 players in the tournament. Local teams Elkhart Lake took 6th and Cedar Grove was 8th. The medallist of the tournament was Nick Vrubley from Cedar Grove, shooting a 73.
