CRAIG V. DEES
Craig V. Dees, 61, of Oostburg, passed away on Thursday evening April 22, 2010 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls.
Craig was born on June 17, 1948 in Sheboygan, the son of the late Marvin and Marion (Titel) Dees.
He was a 1966 graduate of Sheboygan North High School and graduated from UW-Milwaukee in 1970 with a degree in English and Music.
On August 22, 1970 he married Carol Preder in Oostburg. Craig was a self-employed piano teacher.
Craig was a member of First Reformed Church in Oostburg where he served as a piano accompanist.
Craig enjoyed listening to, composing, and playing music and organized many concerts and recitals. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing and going to the coffee shop.
Craig is survived by his wife Carol; one daughter Stephanie (Jamey) Hengst of Oostburg; one son, Jeremy Dees of Elkhorn; four grandchildren, Alexia, Griffin and Mackenzie Hengst, and Madelyn Dees; two brothers, Alfred (Jan) Dees of Minneapolis, Minn. and Jerome (Mary) Dees of Appleton; one sister-in-law, Donna (Tom) Klujeske of Oostburg; and one brother-in-law, Rollie (Sue) Preder of Oostburg.
Craig was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Joyce Preder.
Funeral services were held on Monday morning, April 26, at First Reformed Church in Oostburg with the Rev. Brian Taylor and Rev. Wayne DeVrou con-celebrating. Interment has taken place in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in Craig’s name.
