Falcons blank Kiel, Kewaskum

KIEL – The Sheboygan Falls Falcons girls soccer team continued their shutout streak, with a convincing 5-0 triumph over the Kiel Raiders in Eastern Wisconsin Conference action Thursday, April 22.
Falls has blanked four conference foes to start the season, while improving its first-place record to 4-0 in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference (7-1 overall).
Senior Hannah Meyer, juniors Abby Debbink, Cassie Quirt, and sophomores Cassie Hammen, Allie Danneker each scored goals for the Falcons. Senior Ashley Entringer, Meyer, Hammen and Danneker each dished out assists.
“We controlled the game for the most part,” said Falcons coach Brian Mentink. The defense played well again and Lilly Rotter made an exceptional one-on-one save in goal.”
Debbink scored two goals to lead Falls to a 3-0 shutout of the Kewaskum Indians Monday, April 19.
Quirt also put in a goal, while Entringer and Danneker made the assists. “This was a good road win for us, because we always struggle here,” remarked Mentink. “We’re passing the ball well and team is playing together. We still feel it’s early and want to take one game at a time.”
